Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support material handling and material staging in a manufacturing facility in the United States. The role emphasizes following EHS policies and ensuring accurate documentation of all material transactions.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, maintaining clean staging areas, using SAP or RF systems to track materials, and assisting in physical inventories as needed. A focus on safety and timely material supply is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse or material handling is preferred.
  • Experience using SAP or RF scanning systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility and follow policies to improve EHS performance.
  • Provide departments with needed materials in a timely manner.
  • Move, locate and stage finished goods, raw materials, WIP and supplies to the appropriate areas.
  • Identify material with Handling Unit (HU) and verify tags match material.
  • Document material and supply transactions accurately, manually and electronically.
  • Load/unload trailers and containers as needed.
  • Manage waste rolls and scrap; move waste to recycling areas and record weights.
  • Perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Empty pallets and stack neatly.
  • Run material staging reports in SAP or RF application and use FIFO for distribution.
  • Gather and bale loose scrap from presses and slitters.
  • Assist outside primary area when needed and support physical inventories.

Job Description

  • Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility, following all current policies and procedures and making an effort to improve the Environmental Health and Safety performance of our facility.
  • To provide all departments with needed materials in a timely manner.
  • To move, locate and stage all finished goods, raw materials, work in process and supplies to the warehouse or manufacturing departments, in a neat and orderly fashion, that prevents damage or contamination.
  • Properly identifying material with Handling Unit (HU) and skid tags and verifying tags match material.
  • Material must be properly located and/or moved physically as well as electronically.
  • To document all material and supply transactions accurately, manually and electronically.
  • To load or unload trailers/containers as needed.
  • Manage waste rolls and scrap, move waste to compactors or recycling staging areas, gather and bale loose junk or startup rolls and load the scrap trailer and record weights.
  • To perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Empty pallets from presses gathered and taken outside and neatly stacked.
  • Run material staging report in SAP or RF application. System will list material needed by HU and work center. Material needs to be scanned to proper location. Material to be given out by FIFO.
  • Gather and bale loose scrap from presses and slitters.
  • To provide assistance outside their immediate area of responsibility when needed.
  • To assist in physical inventories
