Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Material Handler (Fabrication) on 3rd shift in Waukesha, WI. The role handles raw and fabricated material flow using forklifts and cranes, with a 11 pm–7 am schedule and potential overtime. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, plus health benefits and weekly pay.

First-hand responsibilities include processing daily releases, packing, and moving material across departments, ensuring accurate SAP records, and maintaining safe, efficient material flow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Issue material from stock location and kit material from daily release and pick list.
• Prepare kits for transportation and deliver to dock area with packing lists.
• Deliver finished fabrications from machine area to welding, interplant shipping docks, and staging areas.
• Move pallets and maintain pallet IDs; ensure proper SAP transactions.
• Receive, locate, and issue daily release parts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Dispose of scrap and manage waste in coordination with vendors as needed.
• Support movement of WIP and finished goods throughout the day.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler (Fabrication) - 3rd Shift to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI!

The hourly rate for this position is $21.45 per hour + $2.50 per hour shift premium.

The core hours are 11 pm - 7 am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*, less applicable withholding.

What You’ll Do

Material Handlers are responsible for the smooth, efficient flow of all raw material and fabricated material into, throughout, and out of the department. Uses forklifts (stand up and sit down), walk along, and 5 to 30-ton cranes.

In This Function You Will

• Issue material from stock location and kits material from daily release and pick list.
• Prepare kits for transportation, delivers to dock area, and prepares appropriate packing list.
• Deliver finished fabricated parts from machine area to the welding area, kitting area, interplant shipping docks, tagging pallets appropriately and staging them in the proper areas with pallet ID tags.
• Deliver finished product out of fabrication and locates the material in internal customer Warehouse storage racks, maintaining proper SAP transactions and escalating issues around stock area cleanliness and remedying any nonconformance
• Move pallets of in-process work to where they are accessible to various machines, marking these items appropriately with pallet ID tags.
• Keep department provided with pallets and disposes of unusable pallets.
• Stack work-in-process or component parts in storage racks.
• Use 5-ton crane to unload bar stock and sheet steel from trucks. Locates material with proper identification attached and turns receiving paperwork in at the receiving desk for quality inspection. Unloads coil steel for the Georg and locates it into the proper cradle, marking it appropriately.
• Receive, locate, and issue “daily release” parts daily to assure proper inventory.
• Dispose of all scrap steel into dumpsters outside of building. Dispose of all scrap wood and interfaces with external vendors to maintain empty hoppers at all times for scrap wood disposal
• Move from raw material receiving and locating to WIP and finished goods receiving, locating, tagging and movement throughout the day without interruption
• Deliver stand-up stackers and walkers for battery changes during the shift.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to understand standard shop specifications (shop drawings, process sheets, and measuring equipment, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
