Job summary

Switchgear Power Systems, LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Material Handler/Fab Tech for 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00am-4:30pm). This role supports fabrication by moving sheet/WIP materials, loading/unloading from laser, and assisting with bending, welding, and finishing tasks.

Requirements include 2+ years of fabrication/manufacturing experience and forklift operation. The team values safety, teamwork, and clear communication, with a full-time schedule and competitive hourly pay of $23.00.

• Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand.

Overall Responsibility

• Move materials (sheet/WIP) as needed to support fabrication (unload trucks, move material to/from various FAB departments).
• Load, unload sheets and parts off laser.
• Assist press brake in bending parts (2-man jobs).
• Assist weld with weldments (tacking, kitting, prepping, etc).
• Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand.

Key Job Duties (not Exhaustive)

• Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc.
• Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
• Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
• Follow company policy and standards.
• Able to operate forklifts and hoists.
• Keep work centers clean and orderly.
• Able to take and follow directives.

Required Skills And Experience

• 2+ years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience & Forklift driving experience.
