Join to apply for the Material Handler (EWP) role at Specialty Building Products

We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler, Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 2:30 pm, to join our VALUES-based organization.

The majority of duties at this facility are protected from elements, under cover, or in enclosures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Combilift, forklifts, or other machinery (chainsaw) to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting material.
• Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Accurately pull daily orders.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track and trace issues.
• Read and understand tickets and the various codes for products.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
• Prior lumber experience desired; engineered lumber experience is a plus.
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Ability to identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels, and reports.
