Job description

Job Title: 1st Shift Material Handler

We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Material Handler to join our VALUES-based organization. This position is scheduled for Monday - Friday, from 5:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Work Environment: The majority of duties at this facility are protected from elements, either under cover or in enclosures.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate equipment such as Combilift, forklifts, chainsaws, and other machinery to complete tasks including loading, unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting materials.
  • Band, wrap, and tape products as needed.
  • Accurately pull daily orders and assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track and trace issues.
  • Read and understand tickets and product codes, including the ability to read a tape measure.
Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience and certification are preferred but not required.
  • Prior lumber experience, especially engineered lumber, is desired.
  • Minimum of one year of warehouse distribution experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.
  • Ability to identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels, and reports.
