Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking Material Handlers/Powered Equipment Operators in the United States to support safe, high-quality production. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, move product through the facility, and meet certification requirements during the qualification period.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Able to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees).
• Work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
• May require certification to operate various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and powered equipment to move product throughout the facility.
• Meet specific certifications during the qualification period.
• Shift may require overtime depending on production demands.
