Position Overview:

Material Handler & Equipment Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities include performing repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment. Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors. Candidates should be experienced with hand and power tools and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Forklift experience is a plus.

Additional duties involve maintaining production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering materials and supplies, staging finished products for shipping, and other related tasks.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; record inventory locations.
  2. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders.
  3. Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  4. Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and their locations.
  5. Receive credit-return materials and supplies from production by verifying codes, lot numbers, and quantities; store materials in stock.
  6. Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
  7. Document product shipments by recording units shipped.
  8. Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
  9. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  10. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on various types of material handling equipment.
  11. Work efficiently at a fast pace with safety as a priority.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided).
  • No minimum education requirements.
  • Experience with forklifts (preferred).
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • 1-3 years of mechanical experience.
