Job summary

PPG is hiring a Material Handler in Fort Wayne, IN. Starting pay is $18.25/hour. You will help ensure quality products are available for customers and contribute to safe, efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities include unloading trailers, stocking materials, processing orders, and using RF scanners and Oracle WMS to complete shipments. Prior forklift and material handling experience is preferred, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse/manufacturing experience.
• Basic reading, writing, math and communication skills to process orders.
• Experience with paint and/or hazardous materials is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, detail-oriented, and organizational skills.
• Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly; stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trailers and store materials with hand or electric equipment.
• Check shipments, rotate stock, and place materials in bins.
• Process orders of various sizes efficiently and accurately.
• Operate computers, RF scanners, and power equipment per procedures.
• Prepare shipping documents in Oracle WMS for outgoing shipments.
• Follow DOT/OSHA/ISO/EEO policies and participate in audits.
• Participate in inventory, cycle counts and safety meetings.
• Perform basic maintenance on warehouse equipment and keep the facility clean.
• Assist the Distribution Manager and supervisors as needed.
