Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to receive, store, and move raw materials and parts within our Wisconsin facility. You will unload trucks, pick and deliver materials, pack shipments, and load finished goods for transport, while maintaining safety and accurate paperwork.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6–12 months (or 1–3 years) shipping/receiving experience. This on-site role offers stable hours and opportunities for overtime and growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, safety rules, bills of materials, routings, and paperwork.
• Ability to complete receiving/shipping paperwork and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and truckers.

Responsibilities

• Receive raw materials, unload trucks, and move materials to storage.
• Pick materials per work or customer orders and deliver to manufacturing or shipping areas.
• Pack/crate parts for shipment following standard packaging practices.
• Load finished products for shipment onto trucks or delivery vehicles.
• Deliver materials to customers or vendors as required.
• Perform routine forklift inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Create and maintain required paperwork and computer records.
• Ensure daily duties are completed, with overtime as needed.
• Follow safety rules and maintain housekeeping standards.
