Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking an associate to support the E-Recycling Store. You will transfer merchandise, manage carts and waste, and assist with pricing and display of donated goods.

Responsibilities include safe operation of equipment, loading trucks, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering excellent customer service to store visitors and colleagues. Background check is required and evenings/weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated goods and materials into the proper material handling equipment.
• Safely transport donated goods to the appropriate areas using equipment.
• Assist with pricing and displaying merchandise when required.
• Load trucks and trailers safely and efficiently when required.
• Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and use equipment like crushers and compactors.
• Maintain general housekeeping of assigned areas.
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Adhere to all recycling procedures.
