Job summary

Brook & Whittle Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Associate in St. Louis to read orders, gather and stage items, and move materials between receiving and storage areas.

You will operate forklifts and hand trucks, verify shipments, and support shipping documentation and data entry. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, and willingness to work overtime including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds continuously, up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Must stand or be mobile for most of shift.
• Efficient use of computer for data entry and records.
• Effective telephone communication.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
• Capable of meeting deadlines with quality results.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends.
• Team player with ability to work with others.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Reads shipping orders to determine items to be gathered, staged and assembled.
• Conveys materials from receiving area to production or storage.
• Sorts, places items on storage racks.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Operates forklift, hand trucks, or dolly to convey items.
• Safely loads and unloads trucks (after forklift training).
• Maintain cycle counts and reconcile results for inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders for pickup of goods.
• Prepare shipping documents and verify returns from customers.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.
