The Material Handler is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Moving raw materials between locations physically and systematically, staging ingredients and packaging accurately, safely, and promptly to meet production schedules.
- Utilizing SAP to create transfer orders, pick for process orders, and return materials to correct locations both physically and systematically.
- Processing, interpreting, and completing documents such as transfer order pick lists, production schedules, shipping documents, and blend sheets.
- Maintaining accurate inventory of raw materials through physical counts, issuing or reversing issues systematically, and creating transfer orders for all material movements.
- Ensuring compliance with all SOPs and CCNA Quality System requirements, reporting quality issues promptly, and using quality materials per standards.
- Performing cleaning and sanitation duties to meet GMP standards.
Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related role.
Required tools experience:
- Forklifts – including single fork, double fork, high lift, drum clamp, corrugated clamp, battery changes, floor scrubber, and ingredient scales.
- SAP, ITS Mobile, Excel, Outlook, Word, and vehicle-mounted/hand-held computers for material transactions.
Required intangible skills:
- Ability to pass CCNA Forklift license certification.
- Proven skill in safely and efficiently operating forklifts.
- Ability to recognize and rectify material defects according to policy.
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in areas with extreme temperature variations, including warehouses, coolers, and freezers.
- Physical ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs over a distance of 10 feet or more.
- Availability to work extended hours, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- Compliance with all safety requirements, including chemical handling, safety rules, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and PPE usage.
