The Material Handler is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Move raw materials between locations physically and systematically, staging ingredients and packaging accurately, safely, and promptly to fulfill production orders within the specified time frame.
- Utilize SAP to create transfer orders, pick for process orders, and return materials to appropriate locations both physically and systematically.
- Process, interpret, and complete documents such as transfer order pick lists, production schedules, shipping documents, and blend sheets.
- Assist in maintaining accurate raw material inventory by performing physical counts, issuing or reversing issue of raw materials systematically, and creating transfer orders for all material movements.
- Comply with all SOPs under the CCNA Quality System, report quality issues, and ensure the use of quality materials in line with CCNA standards.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties to meet GMP standards.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Experience: At least 1 year in a relevant role.
- Tools experience: Forklifts (single fork, double fork, high lift, drum clamp, corrugated clamp), forklift battery changes, floor scrubber, ingredient scales, SAP, ITS Mobile, Excel, Outlook, Word, vehicle-mounted and hand-held computers.
- Skills and certifications: Ability to pass CCNA Forklift truck license certification; skilled in safely and efficiently operating forklifts; ability to recognize and rectify material defects according to policy; proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding); capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment; able to work in areas with temperature extremes (warehouse, coolers, freezers); physically able to lift 50 lbs over 10 feet; willing to work extended hours, weekends, or overtime; compliant with safety protocols including chemical handling, safety rules, lockout/tagout, and PPE use.
