URGENTLY HIRING FOR DAY & NIGHT SHIFT

MATERIAL HANDLERS

IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH

As a Material Handler, you are responsible for ensuring the required materials for each line are drawn from appropriate locations and set up, monitored, and made available throughout the production period or shift.

HOURS: DAYS: 645AM-7PM OR NIGHTS: 645PM-7AM ON A 2-2-3 SCHEDULE

Shift Schedule Breakdown:

  • WORK MON/TUE, OFF WED/THUR, WORK FRI/SAT/SUN
  • OFF MON/TUE, WORK WED/THUR, OFF FRI/SAT/SUN, REPEAT
  • Only Work 15 days a month!!!!
  • Every Other Weekend is a 3 DAY WEEKEND !!!!
  • One week you work 48 hours and the next week you work 36 hours
  • Total of 84 hours for a pay period (76 regular hours & 8 hours of overtime) Paid Bi-Weekly

PAY: $21.00/HR (+ $1/HR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR NIGHT SHIFT)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift to load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Accurately report inventory receipts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Provide accurate documentation to Shipping/Receiving Co-Ordinator for processing.
  • Inspect all inbound and outbound shipments for damage.
  • Communicates with delivery and pick-up carriers to ensure proper product is loaded.
  • Assist the Shipping/Receiving Co-Ordinator with weekly/monthly/yearly cycle counts.
  • Knows and understands the material requirements (i.e. yarn, wire, colorant, cable, tape, etc.) for each product being produced during the assigned shift.
  • Coordinates with production personnel to ensure required materials are staged for upcoming production.
  • Notifies Line Operator, or Supervisor, of any off-standard situations.
  • Raw Material Handling and Staging (yarn, wire, stiff tape, etc.)
  • Attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area including other general clean-up.
  • Follows all safety requirements for the position and all company safety guidelines.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork to ensure accurate inventory transactions.
  • Commitment to wearing the required PPE at all times (safety glasses, safety shoes).
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor to facilitate business demands.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write English fluently, Bi-Lingual is a PLUS!
  • Forklift Experience REQUIRED

Minimum 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/shipping/distribution environment.

Must be able to perform Basic Math.

Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments.

OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift more than 100 pounds with reasonable assistance (Crane or Forklift).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
  • Ability to lift objects overhead.
  • Ability to spend 12 hours a shift on foot around hot machinery.
  • Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects, pushing and pulling objects.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical, water and chemical hazards present in the working environment.
  • Ability to work inside the warehouse facility and outside the facility as well.
  • Work includes exposure to equipment with moving components and spending 12 hours a shift on your feet.

The compensation for this position is typically $21/Hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
