Job summary

SSAB Houston is seeking a Material Handler to ensure the smooth flow of material through the facility. You will unload, store, and stage raw materials, verify order accuracy, and support shipping, receiving and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with overhead crane operation is preferred
• Must have a High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Unloads, stores and places raw material for processing and verifies materials against orders.
• Off-loads material from production lines and places into staging areas; fills customer orders from stock and verifies quality per specifications.
• Loads material onto trucks or rail cars and verifies against orders.
• Responsible for daily crane inspections.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required
