Job summary

Tyson Foods in Newbern, Tennessee is seeking a 2nd shift Material Handler to operate pallet jacks, move product through multiple departments, and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with possible Saturdays; hours 4:00 pm–1:00 am. Must lift up to 50 pounds and complete safety inspections; prior warehouse or production experience preferred.

Eligible candidates must have at least 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
• Preferred candidates have 6+ months of machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and/or rider pallet jack to move product and materials.
• Transport/unload materials to various departments; keep lines stocked.
• Perform safety checks and complete safety inspection forms.
• Lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds; return equipment as required.
• Follow supervisor directions and Tyson policies; perform other duties as assigned.
