Job summary

Warehouse Services Logistics LLC in South Bend, IN seeks a Material Handler/ Clerk. You will operate material handling equipment to receive, store, and ship goods, perform inspections, maintain logs and WMS updates, and coordinate with carriers for inbound and outbound shipments.

Role requires lifting up to 55 lbs, attention to detail, and forklift certification or ability to obtain it. 8:00am-4:30pm, full-time with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
• Reliable, safety-minded with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and operate material handling equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and data entry.
• Knowledge of WMS and export documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to receive, store, and ship material.
• Perform receiving and shipping inspections and document shipments.
• Maintain inbound/outbound logs and WMS updates.
• Execute load planning and coordinate with carriers for inbound/outbound appointments.
• Conduct cycle counts and manage inventory records.
• Maintain files, data entry, and respond to emails and calls.
• Support customer relations and process documentation.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards; participate in pre-employment/background checks.

WSI is currently seeking Material Handler/ Clerk for a new operation in South Bend, IN

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates material handling equipment as required to receive, store, and ship material.
• Performs receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine: a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required.
• Performs physical material inventories to establish, maintain, and document the receipt, shipment and control.
• Maintains inbound and outbound logs and reports.
• Maintains WMS update on all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Performs load planning based on pre-established criteria.
• Contact with carriers for inbound appointments.
• Contact with carriers with outbound appointments.
• Generations of OS & D.
• Performs cycle counts and checks inventories.
• Check, maintains and responds to E-Mail.
• Maintain files, data entry, answer and direct incoming calls.
• Customer relations.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
• Knowledge of national accounts and export documentation.
• Monday to Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm)
• Overtime as required.
