Job summary

Illinois Tool Works Inc. in Mokena, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to maintain smooth material flow, perform timely material/color changes, and ensure FIFO storage within our production line.

You will follow work orders, operate basic machinery including plastic injection molding, and keep workstations clean and organized. The role requires flexibility for weekends/overtime and physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds with pallet jack assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally with good organizational skills required.
• Must have basic computer skills; basic knowledge of machine operation and plastic injection molding.
• Motivated to grow and develop skills for advancement.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper flow of material to area of responsibility to prevent operation stoppage.
• Make material/color changes promptly and keep workstation clean and organized.
• Ensure product is stored and utilized in FIFO mode.
• Troubleshoot material vacuum/drying system problems.
• Move, wrap and label finished product; document lot control as required.
• Remove old labels from gaylords, boxes and totes.
• Maintain rotation of raw material/components; support Set-up Technicians as needed.
• Use pallet walkie to move material to blending area and arrange pallets for vacuum area setup.
• Clean filters hourly to ensure proper material flow through the blender.
• Report weekly inventory of raw goods to the materials team via physical counts.
• Keep blending machines and hoppers clean and ready for next batch.
