Job summary

ITW in Hebron, CT, is seeking a Material Handler to ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored and moved efficiently. You will operate forklifts, manage labeling, and support mold/automation setups within the plant.

The role requires 1–3 years in manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and basic computer literacy. It offers steady shifts, safety compliance, and opportunities for advancement within a large industrial group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 3 years of job-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally with good organizational skills required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Attention to detail, organization, and strong multitasking abilities.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Motivated to grow and develop skills for advancement.
• Basic knowledge of machine operation and plastic injection molding would be a plus.
• Basic math skills required to accurately count and record part production.
• Prior Material Handler experience, with use of Forklift and/Hand Jacks is preferred.
• Good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Fill and empty machines, transport finished products and materials within the plant.
• Assist setup technician with mold set-ups, automation changeovers, troubleshooting, and paperwork.
• Maintain neatness and organization, returning containers to proper storage.
• Make material/color changes promptly and keep workstation clean.
• Maintain proper flow of materials to prevent production stoppages.
• Ensure FIFO usage and accurate ERP inventory updates.
