JOB MISSION:

Associate will be driving a company Tractor Trailer or box truck daily, fill-in for over the road driving during certain times throughout the year, and work in the New Balance warehouse as needed.

Position Summary: Operate a company truck to make pickups and deliveries at New Balance domestics manufacturing locations and from selected Raw Material Vendors in local area.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Drive company Tractor Trailer or box truck frequently throughout the day to local locations.
2. Drive in accordance with directions and regular schedules complying with highway regulations and varying road conditions.
3. Operate Powered Industrial equipment (PIT) to load and unload vehicle of company goods, supplies, equipment, and odd items at designations making sure that cargo in transit corresponds to information on packing slips and bills of lading. Obtain signatures as necessary. Ensure that proper security measures are taken to protect the vehicle and its contents.
4. Perform Pre and Post trip Inspection to ensure vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with all DOT regulations.
5. Maintain necessary records in compliance with NB Safety regulations, DOT, and OSHA.
6. Will fill-in on over the road driving during vacations, sick time, and other necessary coverage throughout the year, this may include working shifts from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM.
7. Responsible for warehouse duties including but not limited to receiving, stocking, picking, and checking including maintenance of accurate inventory, following established safety rules, policies, and procedures.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

1. Must have Class A CDL License and medical certificate to operate a truck.
2. Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
3. Comply with random drug and alcohol testing.
4. Ability to understand written and verbal instruction.
5. High School Diploma or equivalent.
6. Must be able to interact well with others.
7. Basic computer skills (MS Office, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Telematics).
8. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 65 lbs. daily. Average lifting time of 4 hours a day.
9. Physically capable to perform all job duties, which includes moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting.
