Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Forklift Operator/Backup CDL-A Driver in Greenville, SC for 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Base pay $21.00/hour with an additional $3.50 per drop for driver duties.

Primary work is forklift operation in a warehouse, with occasional CDL-A driving duties between plant and nearby offsite locations. The role supports loading/unloading, inventory control, and shipping/receiving, with safety and accuracy emphasized across all tasks.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL-A).
• One year of over-the-road CDL operation across multiple states.
• No more than one traffic violation and no at-fault accidents on record.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload and move materials within the warehouse.
• Accurately complete required paperwork and maintain inventory records.
• Perform loading, unloading, and relocating materials as required by production and shipping needs.
• Serve as backup CDL-A driver when primary driver is unavailable; make drops between plant and offsite warehouse.
• Operate dock and other warehouse equipment; report any issues.
• Verify incoming materials and inspect for quality and accuracy.

Job Description 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: $21.00/hour + $3.50 per drop

We are looking for a Forklift Operator/Backup CDL-A Driver to join our shipping and warehouse team. Candidate will be a backup for CDL-A driver when primary driver is out. The majority of this position will be spent operating a forklift, including loading and unloading trucks and moving product in our offsite warehouse. This position will also serve as a backup CDL-A driver when our primary driver is out or on vacation. When driving, you will make drops between our plant and offsite warehouse, which is only 0.3 miles from the plant. The backup driver generally makes 10-20 drops per day and receives an additional $3.50 per drop. Serves as backup for CDL-A driver when primary driver is out

• Responsible for various inventory transactions using barcode scanner and/or computer system including locating material, cycle counting, and pulling material.
• Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork.
• Load/Unload/Relocate material as needed per Inventory/Production/Shipping/Quality Control requirements.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Operate dock and warehouse equipment, correct, or report any issue identified.
• Comply with receiving of any material (raw materials, packaging materials, office supplies, production supplies, maintenance supplies and others).
• Verify, identify, and inspect a variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations.
• Warehousing (moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space).
• Trouble shoot any material problems including inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues.
• Must possess valid Commercial Drivers License.
• One year over the road operation of tractor/trailer with CDL (multi-state).
• Must have no more than one traffic violation and no at fault accidents on driving record.
