Job summary

Midland seeks a Material Handler/Backup Driver for our Rockford, IL location. The role involves picking, staging, and loading shipments, plus covering CDL-A driver routes in an automatic 48ft–53ft trailer.

Expect 50% warehouse work and 50% driving, with early morning shifts Mon-Fri. Qualified candidates have a valid CDL-A, experience with sit-down forklift and stand-up forklift, and at least one year of experience with electric pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Forklift: 1 year minimum experience required.
• Electric pallet jack: 1 year minimum experience required.
• CDL A license required.

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, stage or convert orders for shipment using a work order or supervisor instruction.
• Package material for shipment per requirements and ensure labels are readable.
• Load trucks and secure loads for delivery.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety rules.
