Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. in Arcadia, CA is seeking a warehouse associate for a Monday–Friday shift (2 PM–10:30 PM).

You will operate material handling equipment, packaging tools (machine and hand), and use RF devices for accurate material tracking in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch, with experience using micrometers and calipers.

SHIFT:

Monday through Friday, 2 PM to 10:30 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate material handling equipment
• Operate packaging tools (machine and hand)
• Using RF devices for accurate material tracking
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school education or GED desired
• Good mathematical competencies
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Able to read a tape measure to the sixteenth. Experience with micrometers and calipers.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Commitment to continuous improvement, and health & safety

SALARY:

The pay scale for this position is $20.50 - $22.46. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

• Previous experience operating Fork Lift / Side Loader / Overhead Crane experience a plus – Must pass evaluation before working independently.
• Experience using computers.
• Experience with cutting and banding equipment a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull.
• Ability to climb into and out of side loaders and fork trucks.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3kg).
