Job summary

Southern Oregon Goodwill is hiring a Material Handler for our ASHLAND, OR retail location. You will help lead daily store operations, support the mission to turn donations into jobs, and contribute to a team dedicated to service excellence and sustainable practices.

The role includes inventory, housekeeping, and assisting with client programs, with shifts that include weekends. Competitive wages and benefits are offered to support personal and professional growth.

What You’ll Do:

As a Material Handler, you’ll oversee daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a team committed to excellence. You’ll play a key role in supporting our mission to enable employment by providing opportunities for personal and professional growth, while committing to sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs inventories, tallies, or other forms of tracking as required for the retail and operation environments.


• Conducts general housekeeping functions, such as vacuuming, sweeping outside areas, dusting, and rest room maintenance.


• Assists GoodWorks staff with implementation of work plans and guidelines as established for client programs, as assigned by store manager.


• Works a variety of shifts including weekends as assigned.


• Performs daily checks and maintenance on equipment.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.


• Work is performed primarily indoors in a climate-controlled space. May occasionally perform work in outside weather conditions.
