Job summary

US Farathane in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an experienced Material Handler to ensure timely flow of materials from arrival to finish goods. The role primarily uses a hi-lo or pallet jack to move loads and support production on 3rd shift.

You will maintain the Central Load room, log changes, follow FIFO, weigh parts, and keep work areas clean and organized. The position offers benefits, a $1.50/hr shift premium, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to recognize numbers and not transpose digits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Central Load room – including correct use of material on all color and material changes.
• Log all material type changes and follow FIFO procedures.
• Weigh parts running without scales.
• Put away finished product correctly.
• Keep presses stocked with totes and skids and ensure returnable storage area is stocked.
• Scan and properly identify all assigned product.
• Any other duties as assigned by Plant Supervision.
