Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler-Loader for the 3rd shift. You will operate forklifts and other equipment to load/unload and move materials, band and wrap products, and keep the warehouse organized and safe.

You will read tickets, measure with a tape, and learn to use a chainsaw and Holtec Saw while collaborating with supervisors to meet daily goals. Prior lumber experience is preferred, forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired; engineered lumber preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts or machinery to load/unload and move materials.
• Band, wrap, and tape product.
• Maintain warehouse area and organize inventory.
• Collaborate with supervisors and staff to complete workload.
• Provide accurate, timely service to customers.
• Assist with inventory variances and tracking.
• Follow safety policies and perform daily forklift checks.
• Read tickets and product codes.
• Learn to use chainsaw and Holtec Saw.
• Read a tape measure.
• Pull daily orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
