Job summary

SATO America LLC seeks a detail-oriented Material Handler for the 3rd shift in Romeoville, IL. The role supports production by pulling orders, delivering materials, and staging finished products, with emphasis on orderly stock and accurate inventory management.

  • Familiarity with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Read the pick list and follow instructions; locate materials and supplies for printing presses and deliver them to appropriate press areas.
  • Load and unload materials by hand and with a lift truck; convey materials to designated area.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases or other containers.
  • Create accurate transfers for all materials moved, to and from equipment by following designated procedures; maintain a daily log on all materials moved; maintain accurate WIP inventory.
  • Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and legible manner.
  • Able to use hand scanners for inventory transactions with training.
  • Perform duties following all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Move recyclable waste from printing presses by manual manipulation or use of fork truck based on situations.
  • Manually load adhesive-contained recycling into the bailer.
  • Move office recyclable materials to appropriate containers.
  • General clean-up tasks as assigned.
  • Work overtime as needed.

SUMMARY:

Incumbent will be r esponsible for ensuring orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.

QUALIFICATION:

Education And/Or Experience: High School diploma or GED or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, and to follow instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude needed. strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement
  • Proven ability to properly operate a forklift
  • Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to use problem-solving skills in producing jobs effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
