Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking candidates for a warehouse associate role in New Bedford, MA. The position involves material handling, inventory control, and safe operation of pallet jacks and scanners within a fast-paced production environment.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of warehouse experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Overtime including Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months in warehouse, material handling, or inventory control (1 year preferred).
• Skills: Basic computer skills; experience with scanners/inventory systems; strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments, verify and process shipping documentation, and deliver materials to production areas.
• Maintain organized warehouse storage locations, stage materials for production, and ensure proper labeling.
• Perform cycle counts, conduct inventory transactions using scanning equipment, and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Safely operate manual/electric pallet jacks, order scanners, material handling carts, dock equipment, and pallet wrapping machines.
• Follow all warehouse safety policies, wear PPE (including steel-toe shoes), and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Fulfill material requests, assist with inventory discrepancies, and perform other assigned tasks to support manufacturing operations.

• Inventory control: Perform cycle counts, conduct inventory transactions using scanning equipment, and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Equipment operation: Safely operate manual/electric pallet jacks, order scanners, material handling carts, dock equipment, and pallet wrapping machines.
• Safety & compliance: Follow all warehouse safety policies, wear required PPE (including steel-toe shoes), and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Support duties: Fulfill material requests, assist with inventory discrepancies, and perform other assigned tasks to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months in warehouse, material handling, or inventory control (1 year preferred) .
• Skills:
• Basic computer skills and experience with scanners/inventory systems
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform frequent lifting, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork
• Preferred: Inventory control experience/certification, forklift certification.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced manufacturing setting with frequent lifting, standing, and walking.
• Requires ability to work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.
• Must be able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
