Material Handler - 3rd Shift

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a 3rd Shift Material Handler at our facility in Turners Falls, MA. The role involves performing various duties such as measuring, inspecting, testing, and re-spooling wire and cable in preparation for shipping or the next process.

Minimum Hourly Rate: $19.81/hour with a $3.00/hour shift differential for the 3rd shift.

Job Duties

1. Work from material movement documents, instructions, and computer scans.
2. Transfer wire manually or using a forklift as instructed.
3. Ensure proper transfer of products.
4. Maintain reels and pallets.
5. Weigh and record scrap materials.
6. Report defective materials or equipment issues.
7. Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 months of transferable experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player, detail-oriented, eager to learn.
• Basic arithmetic and measurement skills.
• Moderate physical effort and alertness required; exposure to noise, fumes, dust possible.
• PIV Training and certification will be provided after hire.
