Material Handler - 3rd Shift

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a 3rd Shift Material Handler at our Turners Falls, MA facility. Responsibilities include measuring, inspecting, testing, and re-spooling wire and cable for shipping or subsequent operations.

Minimum Hourly Rate: $19.81/hour plus a $3.00/hour 3rd shift differential.

Job Duties

1. Operate from movement documents, instructions, and computer scanning devices.
2. Transfer wire manually or using a forklift as instructed.
3. Ensure proper transfer of products.
4. Maintain reels and pallets for operations.
5. Weigh and record scrap materials.
6. Detect and report defective materials or equipment issues.
7. Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. 1-3 months of transferable experience.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Team player with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
5. Knowledge of basic arithmetic and use of measuring instruments.
6. Moderate physical effort and alertness to repetitive work; exposure to noise, fumes, dust, etc.
7. PIV training and certification to be completed after hire.
