Job summary

Potter Global Technologies is hiring a Material Handler to support material receiving, storage, and delivery to the production floor at our Hazelwood, MO site. You will read work orders, pick, pack, and ship materials, and update stock in our system, ensuring accuracy and timely shipments.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to packing standards. On-site, full-time position with comprehensive benefits and an ownership program.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Material Handler.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements of lightweight parts.
  • Strong time management to meet deadlines.
  • Team player with respectful, collaborative communication.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
  • Identify items based on order specifications and prepare for packing and shipping.
  • Pack materials into containers per packing requirements and protect during transit.
  • Prepare shipping labels, verify addresses, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely dispatch of packages.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects or discrepancies during picking/packing.

If you are detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to play a critical role in delivering high-quality products, this role could be perfect for you!What You’ll DoRetrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouseAccurately read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, packaged, and shippedAccurately identifying items based on order specifications and ensuring the correct quantity is selectedPack all materials into appropriate containers based on specific packing requirementsEnsure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during transitCoordinate the shipment process by preparing shipping labels, verifying addresses, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completeCollaborate with shipping carriers to facilitate the timely dispatch of packagesConduct visual inspections of products during the picking and packing stages to identify any defects or discrepanciesUtilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as neededWork effectively as a team to achieve daily shipping goalsTake on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals and project milestonesKey Strengths & SkillsAbility to conduct repetitive movements of lightweight parts (up to 10 pounds/part)Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAble to interact with others in a respectful and collaborative mannerAdequately read and follow written instructions from an operation manualBenefits That MatterEmployee Ownership Program – You’re not just an employee—you’re an owner.
