Position Responsibilities

The Material Handler 3 supports the Distribution Center in Shipping, Receiving, Packaging, or Returns.

1. Work with Customer Service Representatives and Product Management to resolve issues in Shipping, Receiving, and Production.
2. Inspect, sort, store, and perform data entry for all returned goods, inbound parts/units, and non-compliant shipments according to ISO procedures.
3. Bill credits for returned goods that meet ISO Claims Policy. Bill orders and send ASNs according to customer requests.
4. Pick and pack assigned parts according to shop order pick tags and customer notes.
5. Support shop order activities by opening, issuing, and returning excess parts to stock. Transfer stock physically and electronically as needed.
6. Provide backup for DC Supervisors.
7. Provide leadership and training to colleagues within a work group.

Essential Skills and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous distribution/warehouse experience required.
• Intermediate PC skills required.
• Knowledge of TQM, QS/ISO 9000; forklift experience with Reach trucks, Manup, and Sitdown trucks required. Proper use of hand tools required.

Work Environment

Reporting to: Distribution Center Supervisor; no direct reports.

Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods (up to 6 hours), walking up to 2 miles/day, handling objects/tools, operating power tools, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, bending, communicating verbally, hearing safety indicators. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment: Warehouse setting with some office exposure.

Compensation

The base pay ranges from $21 to $23 per hour, depending on relevant factors.
