Job summary

Bonduelle Americas is seeking a Materials Handler 3 in Shipping & Receiving at the Irwindale facility. You will pick and unload product, verify order accuracy, and ensure proper storage and rotation in a refrigerated environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of forklift experience and a GED/high school diploma, with strict adherence to GMP, HACCP, safety rules, and FIFO processes to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma is required.
• 3–5 years of forklift experience (stand-up forklift experience may be required).

Responsibilities

• Ensure GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines are followed.
• Unload raw product, log lot numbers, and verify against bill of lading.
• Weigh lettuce bins and record weights for each load.
• Minimize downtime by providing needed materials and communicating inventory issues.
• Maintain proper rotation (FIFO).
• Cross-train to perform line feeding, rotating and picking.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Material Handler 3 in Shipping & Receiving is responsible for picking and unloading product rapidly, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring proper storage and rotation. The Material Handler 2 in Shipping & Receiving is also responsible for all line feeder and finished rotator responsibilities. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.


• Unload raw product, affixing assigned lot numbers to each bin or box that comes in. Record all items received in appropriate receiving form and upon completion, compare with bill of lading for accuracy. Record any discrepancies.


• Weigh all bins of lettuce from each load, recording weight on lettuce receiving form.


• Minimize downtime by providing production with materials needed for each day. Responsible for communicating with the gatekeeper and coordinator regarding inventory issues and ensuring efficient changeovers.


• Maintain proper rotation (FIFO).


• Be cross-trained and able to perform line feeding, rotating, and picking responsibilities.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• GED/High School Diploma.


• 3-5 years of forklift experience (some positions require stand-up forklift experience).
