Job summary

Southern Specialties is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd Shift in Tulsa, OK to help keep materials flowing through our operation and support production and inventory accuracy.

The role includes moving materials, staging for manufacturing, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse with a team-focused approach. The 2nd Shift runs Monday–Thursday, 3:30pm–2:00am, with an 11.5% shift premium on base hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving or inventory control, preferably in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with inventory systems, cycle counting and handheld scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

We're looking for a Material Handlerto join our 2 nd Shift team and help keep materials flowing smoothly through our operation. This role is essential to supporting production, meeting customer commitments, and maintaining accurate inventory.

The 2 nd Shift Team works Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 2:00am and receives an 11.5% shift premium on top of their base hourly rate for each hour worked.

• Label, store, and handle materials safely and efficiently, including sheet metal components

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control - ideally in manufacturing or fabrication
• Hands-on experience with inventory systems, cycle counting, and hand-held scanners
• Strong attention to detail and a natural sense of organization
• Ability to lift and move materials safely
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP or WMS systems
• Ability to stay focused, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• A strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality
• A team-first mindset and willingness to jump in where needed

Physical Requirements

Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
