Material Handler - 2nd Shift - ONeal Manufacturing Services

Position Overview

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for various tasks including parts cleaning, assembly, and material handling using equipment such as hand/pedestal grinders, hand trucks, forklifts, and cranes. You will support safety and quality programs and ensure error-free work for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure workplace safety and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Clean parts using appropriate equipment and methods.
  • Handle materials with equipment like forklifts and cranes.
  • Maintain quality standards by providing error-free work.
  • Support safety and quality programs by following established procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift Details
  • Second Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays and occasional Sundays. Overtime as needed.
Qualifications
  • Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Good English communication skills (spoken and written).
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 20-50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for long periods.
  • Walk 2-5 miles during shifts.
  • Good vision, with or without correction.
  • Coordination for handling objects precisely.
Environmental Conditions
  • Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to temperature changes, loud noises, vibrations, chemicals, fumes, dust, and oils.
  • Prolonged exposure to mechanical parts, electrical currents, heat, and chemicals.
