Job summary

Exmark, a division of The Toro Company located in Beatrice, Nebraska, is seeking an individual to support parts handling and material movement on the 2nd shift. The role includes operating a stand-on forklift, loading/unloading goods, and ensuring accurate inventory records while maintaining safety standards.

Training in Lean principles is encouraged. Starting pay is $22.24 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential, totaling $24.24 per hour for the 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to follow standard work and procedures.
• Experience with lifting and moving items is required as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and record locations using onboard computer terminal.
• Operate a stand-on forklift to move parts and finished goods.
• Load and unload materials from pallets and shelves by hand or lifting device.
• Record part numbers, quantities, locations, and serial numbers in the system.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Use hoist or pallet jack to move parts to storage or assembly areas.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and participate in 5S activities.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and strive for safety and productivity targets.
• Identify Lean opportunities to improve processes and methods.
• Willingly take on other duties as assigned.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with Exmark, you will be responsible for:

• Maintains inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory with onboard computer terminal
• Operates a stand-on forklift to move all parts, finished goods, and deliveries
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with lifting device
• Records part numbers, quantities, locations, and/or serial numbers of finished inventory being moved with onboard computer terminal
• Performs visual check on all parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Operates electric or pneumatic hoist to set heavier painted parts on carts in advance of assembly
• Uses pallet jack or forklift to move parts to storage areas
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and active participation in all 5S efforts and initiatives
• Performs daily inspections of equipment within area of responsibility to insure all equipment is in safe working order
• Strives to meet all established safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards
• Continually seeks to improve production methods, equipment performance and overall quality of product
• Ability to learn a variety of different product lines
• Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved
• Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly; 25 pounds frequently; 40 pounds occasionally
