Job summary

Exmark, located in Beatrice, Nebraska, is a division of The Toro Company, and is seeking a reliable individual for 2nd shift work. You will operate a stand-on forklift, manage inventory, and ensure clean, safe production areas while supporting Lean improvements.

The role offers a starting hourly pay of $22.24 plus a $2.00 shift differential, totaling $24.24 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth within the Exmark team.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential duties safely and efficiently.
• Ability to follow standard work and procedures.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory by identifying and placing materials in stock and recording locations.
• Operates a stand-on forklift to move parts, finished goods, and deliveries.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves.
• Records part numbers, quantities, and locations with an onboard terminal.
• Performs visual checks on all parts to ensure quality standards.
• Uses hoists to move heavy parts before assembly.
• Moves parts to storage areas using pallet jack or forklift.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and participates in 5S initiatives.
• Performs daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Strives to meet safety, quality, cost, and productivity goals.
• Learns multiple product lines and applies Lean methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with Exmark, you will be responsible for:

• Maintains inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory with onboard computer terminal


• Operates a stand-on forklift to move all parts, finished goods, and deliveries


• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with lifting device


• Records part numbers, quantities, locations, and/or serial numbers of finished inventory being moved with onboard computer terminal


• Performs visual check on all parts to ensure quality standards are met


• Operates electric or pneumatic hoist to set heavier painted parts on carts in advance of assembly


• Uses pallet jack or forklift to move parts to storage areas


• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and active participation in all 5S efforts and initiatives


• Performs daily inspections of equipment within area of responsibility to insure all equipment is in safe working order


• Strives to meet all established safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards


• Continually seeks to improve production methods, equipment performance and overall quality of product


• Ability to learn a variety of different product lines


• Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved


• Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

What Do You Need?

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


• Ability to follow standard work and procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required


• Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly; 25 pounds frequently; 40 pounds occasionally
