Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin is seeking a Material Handler to support production by picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas, ensuring efficient flow and safety, while maintaining high accuracy and on-time delivery expectations.

You will work with production lines to maximize utilization of people, materials, and equipment, follow company procedures and policies, participate in 5S programs, and operate forklifts as required.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Ability to identify and resolve basic problems.
  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math function.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production.
  • Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand.
  • Required to achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.
  • Work under general supervision with well-defined tasks while following company procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Participate in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity and have work reviewed for accuracy.
  • Complete and retain all required training.
  • May resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity.
  • Follow defined procedures and practices.
  • Participate in 5S programs that are based on visual control to determine if an area is normal or abnormal.
  • If abnormal, fix the area immediately.
  • Complete forklift daily per procedure.
  • Good attendance is expected per policy.

  • Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials for Material Handler II and III.
  • 2 to 5 years' experience for Material Handler III.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal for Material Handler III.
  • Ability to learn and use problem solving tools in everyday work for Material Handler III.
  • Previous experience coaching and training other employees for Material Handler III.
