Responsibilities

• Read and understand job tickets and layouts to produce the correct product of the highest quality.
• Understand and execute production schedules in an accurate and prompt manner to effectively maximize throughput.
• Work closely with all associates to coordinate workflow.
• Maintain performance metrics at the average or greater for this position.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Safely operate material moving equipment.
• Assist in maintaining equipment for optimal operation, including adjustments and preventive maintenance.
• Enter information into systems for job tracking and payroll accurately.
• Dispose of waste materials into proper storage containers, mark and identify containers with required documentation.
• Comply with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP, BRC) as applicable.
• Interact and behave professionally, treat all associates respectfully and maintain the company code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping efforts.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent training and experience providing the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment; forklift experience preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical demands requiring standing, use of hands, reaching, talking, hearing, frequent walking, occasional climbing or balance activity, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Knowledge in inventory control and shipping/receiving activities is a plus.
