Job summary

Eaton’s Oakleys Ct site in Richmond, VA is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift. The role involves operating forklifts and power equipment to move materials, transporting items between staging areas and shipping, and supporting inventory accuracy with RF scanners.

You will help with cycle counts and material flow, maintain safe work areas, and assist with deliveries to vendors as needed. A forklift certification is preferred, with strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification preferred.
• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment to stow, pick, deliver, unload, and transport materials.
• Visual inspection of materials for damage and proper handling.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas following 5S guidelines.
• Use RF scanners to track material movement and transact inventory.
• Operate stretch wrap machines to secure loads for storage or transport.
• Coordinate material movement to support operations and perform cycle counts.
• Notify internal customers of material receipts and items marked for attention.
• Flex between material handler areas and cover additional duties as needed.
• Perform internal truck driving duties for pickups and deliveries and assist with product receipt.
