Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Material Handler to support multiple departments within the facility. Under limited supervision, you will count, stage, and move materials, execute inventory transactions, pull work orders, and operate forklifts and other equipment safely.

You will collaborate with Leads and Supervisors to meet production priorities, maintain organized work areas, and ensure accurate documentation of material movements.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of related experience.
  • Competence in ERP inventory/transaction management.
  • Skilled in operating sit-down and double reach forklifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Move materials to/from loading docks, storage, production areas using material handling equipment.
  • Load/unload shipments, stage materials for inspection and storage.
  • Locate materials by pulling and verifying BOM items and staging to work cell.
  • Maintain in-process inventory and document material movements.
  • Receive and process return materials from production.
  • Ensure proper palletizing and racking of materials.
  • Complete equipment inspections and keep areas clean.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Work independently; resolve material handling errors with guidance.
  • Keep work areas, warehouse and equipment clean and orderly.
  • Collaborate with Leads, Planners and Supervisors to support production priorities.

Job Overview

Under limited supervision, material handling duties include counting, staging, and moving materials throughout the facility. Responsible for accurate inventory transactions, work order pulling, and safe operation of forklifts and other equipment. This role requires moderate proficiency in all core tasks without the need for direct oversight.

This position is a broad-based title encompassing multiple departments within the manufacturing facility.

A Day In The Life
  • Moves materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas using material handling equipment (MHE) such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, forklifts (sit-down and double reach), Work Assist Vehicle (WAV).
  • Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing shipments, stages materials for inspection and storage.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on bill of materials and staging to appropriate work cell area.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers and documents material movements.
  • Receives and processes return materials from production.
  • Ensures proper palletizing and racking of materials.
  • Completes equipment inspections and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Works independently and is accountable for resolving material handling errors in real time, with guidance from Material Handler A, Leads, and Supervisors as needed.
  • Keep work areas, warehouse, storage areas, and all equipment clean, neat, and orderly.
  • Collaborates with Leads, Planners, and Supervisors to support production priorities.
