Summary:

The Material Handler – Assembly position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, warehousing products and materials, and supplying production lines with requested products and components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Inspect forklift daily at the start of the shift to ensure all safety features are operational.
2. Complete checklist documenting inspection.
3. Operate forklift safely, moving materials throughout the facility. Ensure all shipped and warehoused materials are handled to prevent damage.
4. Load and unload trucks; warehouse products and materials.
5. Inspect trailers for safety at the beginning of loading and unloading.
6. Use an RF scanner for receipts, issues to lines, returns, and barcode locations.
7. Verify all counts, quantities, and descriptions of products and materials received, shipped, or warehoused.
8. Service production lines by delivering products and components as requested.
9. Complete paperwork accurately and promptly related to the movement of products and materials.
10. Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and loading docks.
11. Perform regular inventory and cycle counts.
12. Safely change forklift propane tanks and/or batteries as needed.
13. Assist other departments as needed.
14. Ensure overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and work area.
15. Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
16. Overtime may be required.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
