Job summary

RR Donnelley in Austell, GA is seeking a hands-on warehouse associate to stack, feed, and move materials in the bindery and mailing departments. You will prepare items for shipping, label materials, and ensure accurate tracking through packing slips and skid flags.

The role requires familiarity with banding, strapping, pallet jacks, and occasional forklift use; prior experience with shrink-wrap and manual tools helps maintain efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stock, move, arrange and rotate items per instructions.
• Must complete forms for stock description, quantity and labeling for incoming/outgoing materials.
• Proficient with shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Knowledge of warehouse layout, item codes and storage areas for paper stock and materials.
• Experience with forklifts may be required.

Job Description

• Responsible for laying up, feeding or piling down materials at equipment
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to assure good running in bindery or mailing department
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher
• May use automated equipment and/or occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

Qualifications

• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials
• Good skill in the use of shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment
• Good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic warehouse procedures, and the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures
• May require experience in operating/using forklift truck

Additional Information

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $14.42- $18.10/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
