Material Handler 1 - Web Press Department - 12-hr Night Shift Fixed Front

Schedule

This position is for a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process products to and from equipment.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves manually.
• Load materials into trucks and secure them with strapping, bracing, or padding using hand tools.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices.
• Count, weigh, and record the number of units handled daily.
• Attach tags or labels to materials and mark information on containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles, banding them with a banding machine and clincher. Occasionally operate automated equipment or industrial trucks to assist in loading or moving materials.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of warehouse layout, item identification codes, and procedures to manage paper stock, signatures, and materials.
• Ability to stock, move, and organize items following instructions or guidance.
• Basic knowledge of shrink-wrap equipment.
• Ability to complete forms related to stock description, quantity, and labeling for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Proficiency in using shrink-wrap, strapping equipment, manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, and hand tools such as hammers, pliers, and tape fasteners.

The pay range for this role at the specified location is $16.83 to $22.71 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. The total compensation may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.
