International Paper is seeking a Material Handler 2 in West Sacramento, CA. The position is Full-Time on 1st shift, with a pay rate of $22.91 per hour. You will manage material flow, inspect equipment, record load data, and ensure safe trailer loading and unloading.

The role requires reading/writing English, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work overtime. It offers a path to develop operations skills in a large packaging company with safety training and teamwork emphasized.

Responsabilidades

• Handle and maintain the flow of materials throughout the plant.
• Complete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report.
• Record bale counts and loading times for outbound shipments.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures for trailers.
• Assist with sorting, deboxing and moving pallets on the plant floor.
• Load and unload trailers and manage bale storage.
• Complete PMs for certified mobile equipment.
• Attend plant safety meetings and report safety concerns.
• Support cost control through efficient equipment use.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Description

Position Title: Material Handler 2

Pay Rate: $22.91/hr

Category/Shift: Hourly, Full-Time (1 st Shift, Monday - Friday)

Physical Location: 1714 Cebrian Street, West Sacramento, CA 95691

The Job You Will Perform

• Handle and maintain the flow of materials throughout the plant
• Complete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)
• Complete and submit load sheet to accurately record bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments
• Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag out procedure
• Assist with sorting, deboxing and moving pallets/materials on the plant floor
• Assist with removing finished bales and storing them in the proper location
• Load and unload trailers
• Complete PMs for all certified mobile equipment regularly
• Attend and participate in plant safety meetings
• Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns
• Adhere to plant policies and guidelines
• Other duties may be assigned

• Ability to operate/monitor the following equipment: Forklift, Skid Steer, Electronic Pallet Jack, Hand Truck
