Eaton is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift at the Youngsville, NC site. The role supports material planning, storage, and movement to production lines with a focus on quality and accuracy.

You will operate RF devices, kit parts for lines, maintain inventory, and ensure safe forklift operations. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and residence in the Youngsville area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
• Residence within Youngsville, NC area to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing support including planning, verifying, storing, organizing, and allocating materials.
• Operate and read hand-held RF units to locate, move and allocate material.
• Move materials per production plan and material requests.
• Kit parts and components; distribute to production lines while maintaining kit integrity.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet customer orders; perform cycle counts and maintain inventory system.
• Load and unload trucks and inspect material for damage.
• Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
• Drive and maintain forklifts with daily inspections and 5S+ housekeeping.

You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed.• You will operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material• You will move needed material based on production plan and material requests• You will kit parts and components; distribute to production lines with accuracy and maintain integrity of configured kits.• You will maintain adequate inventory levels to meet the orders from our customers through daily monitoring of inventory; also perform cycle counts and maintain inventory system as required• You will load and unload trucks and inspect material for damage• You will report irregularities or equipment malfunctions• You will drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessaryQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution• The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required• No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within Youngsville, NC area in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:• 6 months experience operating material handling equipment preferred• Experience using SAP, warehouse management system• Basic understanding of Microsoft applications (Office, Sharepoint)Skills:Position Criteria:• Ability to use good judgment when handling material with a safety focus• Good communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed• Ability to lift 50 lbs.• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.• Willingness to become certified in operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
