Pen Manufacturing in Anaheim, CA is seeking a dedicated Material Handler (1st Shift) to support the production team by ensuring timely movement and availability of materials. You will assist in receiving, storing, and staging parts, coordinating with the Production Supervisor to keep production flowing on schedule.

This role requires AS9100/ISO and ITAR training, readiness to work overtime including Saturdays, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while using basic measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of steady work history preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; candidates without a diploma may be considered with relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic math, measurement tools, and the ability to use measurement instruments.
• Able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable with using computers and tablets.
• Available to work overtime (including Saturdays).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, receive, and store incoming material and hardware.
• Locate and retrieve material and hardware for production jobs.
• Transport parts across the plant using a hand truck or forklift as needed.
• Read and interpret shop routers to ensure parts are routed correctly.
• Assist production operators with handling material as needed.
• Ensure remnant material is moved back into storage or recycling bins.
• Assist in validating inventory counts (Parts Count Training required).
• Maintain material staging areas clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement of material and components at the start of the production process. This role supports production flow by ensuring that Manufacturing has the material they need so production jobs start on time to support customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, receive, and store incoming material and hardware
• Locate and retrieve material and hardware for production jobs
• Transport parts across the plant using a hand truck, fork truck as needed
• Read and interpret shop routers to ensure parts are routed correctly
• Assist production operators with handling material as needed
• Ensure that remnant material is moved back into storage or into recycling bins

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

The pay range for this role is :

22.00-26.00USD per hour
