Job summary

Penguin Random House LLC in Reno, NV is seeking a Material Handler on 1st Shift to support picking, packing and shipping operations.

This onsite role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, with a pay rate of $17.20 per hour.

Responsibilities include palletizing cartons, maintaining a safe work area, assembling prepacks, and assisting shipping with labeling and postage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and perform simple math.

• Change price of books as needed and operate equipment such as tape and price stickering machine.
• Fill completed cartons with bubble wrap in final pack.
• Show initiative to work with little direct supervision.

• Lift cartons up to 35 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Lift, move and handle empty pallets.

We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler on our 1st Shift. $17.20/hr.

Shift: Monday - Friday (6:00am - 2:00pm).

Qualifications

May also be expected to:

• When necessary, change price of books either by machine or manually, operate various equipment, such as tape and price stickering machine.


• Fill completed cartons with bubble wrap in final pack.

• Must be able to regularly lift cartons up to 35 pounds, up to 50 pounds occasionally.


• Must be able to lift, move and handle empty pallets.
