Job summary

Metals USA in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Material Handler for 1st shift to move and store inventory, load/unload trailers, and ensure accurate material handling. You will operate yard trucks, cranes, and forklifts, document production, and maintain safety practices.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic and measurement skills for decimals and fractions.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to comprehend oral and written communication.
• Proficient measuring skills with tapes, micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Industrial warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, and stock inventory and materials.
• Tag materials for identification and track via shop system.
• Pull and assemble customer orders for delivery.
• Operate yard truck, cranes, and forklifts as needed.
• Document production and quality paperwork.
• Perform grinding and oxy/fuel torch tasks as required.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and tools.
• Restock material and notify management of discrepancies.
