Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Material Handler for 1st shift at Oakleys Ct, Richmond, VA. The role requires operating forklifts and material handling equipment to move and store parts, with duties spanning receiving, staging, and shipping, while maintaining 5S standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and may need forklift certification. The site offers benefits, holidays, and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment to stow, pick, deliver, unload, and transport materials.
• Visually inspect materials for damage and ensure proper handling and protection throughout storage and movement.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas in accordance with 5S guidelines.
• Utilize RF scanners to accurately transact and track material movement within inventory systems.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory activities.
• Notify internal customers of material receipts or items marked to their attention.
• Perform internal truck driving duties, including timely pickups and deliveries, and assist with product receipt and delivery to outside vendors and contractors.
